National Day of Service
National Day of Service
The Biden-Harris Inaugural Committee is asking Americans to participate in a National Day of Service on Monday, January 18th. It's an opportunity for all Americans to unite and serve at a time when the global pandemic calls on all of us to work together and support our communities. This is also to celebrate and honor the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Pasco Democrats are organizing a food drive to benefit Messengers of Hope Mission. We are also encouraging our members who are able to participate in theAfrican American Club of Pasco's MLK Birthday Celebration and Day of Service. Details on both activities are below.
How can you help? Drop off your donation at Messengers of Hope Mission's warehouse, located at 14426 Black Lake Rd, Odessa, FL. You can drop-off anytime between 9 am and 2 pm, Tuesday through Friday. They are especially in need of canned goods (except corn and green beans but they'll take those too!). They would also love frozen meats. The reality is the need to provide food in Pasco County continues to grow, and any donation you are able to make is appreciated! #InaugurationDayOfService
Another way to support people who are homeless through Messengers Of Hope Mission is with a donation of $5 or $10 fast-food gift cards. Being able to be a paying customer gives those in need the opportunity to sit inside, have a warm meal, and access to wifi. You can mail gift cards to 14426 Black Lake Rd, Odessa, FL.
