NEVER FORGET – 1/6/21

On January 6, 2021, as the world watched in horror, supporters of former one-term President Donald Trump
attacked the United States Capitol in an effort to disrupt the joint session of Congress assembled to count
electoral votes certifying Joe Biden’s 2020 victory. This attack was a blatant attempt to thwart the will of the
American people and to upend our democratic government. These unpatriots had an even more
sinister motive as they roamed the Capitol halls chanting about hanging former Vice President Mike
Pence while terrorizing our Representatives and Senators.

As we remember this day, we mourn and pray for the injured or killed Officers and their families. This was an abhorrent attack that we should never forget and one that we must do everything in our power to prevent from reoccurring. These unpatriots and their enablers must be held accountable for their actions on this fateful day and must be kept out of seats of power – the survival of our democratic republic depends on it.
