Notice of DEC Elections

Calling All Candidates! The Pasco DEC has current vacancies in the Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer positions for the term ending with the December 2022 DEC meeting.  These positions are open for members to self-nominate. 

Nominations for each of these positions will be accepted up to ten days prior to the next Pasco Democratic Executive Committee meeting which will be held on November 8th, 2021.  Per the bylaws, in the event no candidate is nominated for an office, nomination of candidates to fill that office will be accepted from the floor. The requirement that the Chair and Vice Chair are of opposite sex shall be waived for the remainder of the un-expired terms. 

If you would like to nominate yourself, please send our secretary, Marilyn Holleran, an email at dem@pascodems.org. Nominations must be received by 5PM on Thursday, October 28th, 2021. 

John Ford, the Interim Chair, will be appointing a Credentials Committee to determine the voting status of DEC members, including anyone who wishes to run for any of the three open positions.  The committee must be appointed at least two weeks prior to the election. If you are interested in serving on the Credentials Committee, please email dem@pascodems.org prior to Monday, October 25th, 2021. 

We will be voting for the new Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer at our November meeting to be held on Monday, November 8th, 2021 beginning at 6:30 pm.
